Delete your Songbook Buddy account
Songbook Buddy is published by IT+Med Services - Gerald Floßmann. You can delete your account in the app, or ask us to delete it if you no longer have the app installed.
Delete some of your data and keep your account
Delete the song in the app. It moves to the trash — open it with Show deleted songs in the sidebar — then choose Delete permanently. The song and its attached sheet are removed from our servers and from all your devices the next time the app syncs. This cannot be undone.
For anything else, such as a support report or any specific data you name, write to support@songbookbuddy.com from the email address on the account and say what should be deleted. We delete it within one month and confirm by email.
To delete everything, delete the account. The steps are below.
In the app
- Open Preferences → Account → Delete account.
- Confirm by typing your email address.
- If you own a band together with other members, pick a member to take it over first. A band you own alone is deleted with your account.
Without the app
Write to support@songbookbuddy.com from the email address on the account and ask for the account to be deleted. You do not need the app installed.
What happens
The account is scheduled for deletion and a confirmation email is sent. For 30 days you can restore it by signing in again, or by writing to support. After those 30 days a daily job permanently deletes the account and everything stored for it on our servers:
- Your synced library: songs, setlists, tags, sticky notes, print and display layouts, preferences, and DMX setups.
- Band memberships and devices.
- Your support reports, including reports sent under the account email without signing in.
- Your uploaded files: sheet attachments, report attachments, and the contents of shares you sent that were still waiting. Those files are removed in a follow-up run the same night.
After the 30 days this cannot be undone.
What is kept
Records of purchases (payment ledger entries) are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires. They no longer carry a link to your account. Deleting the account ends the plan. Purchases are not refunded, and there is no subscription to cancel.
On your own devices
The server does not touch the library file on your devices. Uninstalling the app removes that local copy.
